About us
On the 15th March 2012, the Coalition for Equality and Gender was established based on the persistent level of discrimination and violations experienced by members of the Sierra Leone LGBTI community.
Since its inception, the coalition has been implementing programs and projects in 4 regional districts with the intention to promote and protect individuals’ rights around sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression through trainings, symposium, research and documentation, float parades, developing IEC material on hate speeches, posters, flyers, handbills, etc.
Services
Scholarship Empowerment
Every Academic year the organization awards 20 Scholarships to LGBTI Individuals who are deprived of their basic right to Education. School fees and learning materials are provided.
Paralegal Empowerment
The organization provides paralegal empowerment services for LGBTI who need help.
Legal Aid
The organization provides services for LGBTI who need help.
